At Legacy Chevrolet, we understand that choosing the right SUV is a big decision, so we’re here to help! Whether you need plenty of seating for family adventures or sleek maneuverability for day-to-day driving, our team can match you with the perfect Chevrolet SUV.
Read on to learn more about both of these SUVs and decide whether a Chevy Suburban or Tahoe is best for you!
Size and Cargo Space
The Suburban is 15 inches longer than the Tahoe, but they’re both considered full-size SUVs. Each is equipped with three rows of seating, providing room for up to eight in the Tahoe and up to nine in the Suburban. The longer body length of the Suburban gives it an extra 1.8 inches of legroom and over 20 cubic feet of additional cargo space. The Tahoe’s max cargo capacity is 123 cubic feet, while the Suburban has a maximum cargo capacity of 145 cubic feet.
Whether you’re packing up for a weekend road trip, an extended vacation, or just soccer practice, you’ll have plenty of room for luggage and gear!
Performance and Handling
Both the new Chevy Suburban and Tahoe share a standard 5.3L V8 engine that delivers 355 horsepower and 383 lb.-ft. of torque. On certain trim levels, you’ll have the option to upgrade to a 6.2L V8 engine that cranks the horsepower up to 420 and provides 460 lb.-ft. of torque. There’s also a turbo 3.0L diesel engine available on both the Tahoe and Suburban.
Hauling and heavy loads are a breeze with both SUVs. The Tahoe is capable of towing up to 8,400 pounds, while the Suburban can tow up to 8,300 pounds.
And every ride promises to be smooth with the available four-corner air ride adaptive suspension. This automatically adjusts your ride height and comfort to road conditions.
Interior Technology and Features
Chevy designed both SUVs to be safe and keep you connected. Each comes standard with Chevy Safety Assist, a suite of safety features including automatic emergency braking, forward collision alert, automatic high beams, a following distance indicator, lane keeping assist, and front pedestrian braking. You’ll also have up to 13 camera views, making it easier than ever to see what’s going on around your vehicle.
The Chevrolet Infotainment 3 system is standard on both the new Chevy Tahoe and Suburban. This includes an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. When you opt for the LT trim or one of the higher trims, you’ll get a 10.2-inch touchscreen, 12-inch digital gauge cluster, and Google built-in.
Power-adjustable front seats, tri-zone automatic climate control, and leather-appointed seating surfaces make each ride comfortable for you and your passengers.
New Chevy Suburban and Chevy Tahoe Price
The 2024 Chevy Tahoe has the lower price tag of the two SUVs, starting at $56,200. The 2024 Chevy Suburban price starts slightly higher, at $59,200. Prices for both increase with each trim level and add-on.
