Trail Boss Capabilities
The Silverado EV Trail Boss is an impressive truck designed for off-road adventures while maintaining the range and off-road capabilities that have made the Silverado EV a hit.
The Trail Boss trim features a 2-inch lift, providing 24% more ground clearance than the base Silverado EV. Its uniquely tuned coil suspension incorporates a hydraulic rebound control system.
There are five drive modes: Normal, Sport, Terrain, Off-Road, and Sidewinder. The Terrain mode, exclusive to this trim, improves maneuverability at low speeds on uneven terrain. Compared to Normal mode, Terrain mode offers a sharper 4-Wheel Steer, enabling better control of torque and traction at lower speeds. With this mode, along with Off-Road and Sidewinder modes, the Silverado EV Trail Boss is up for any adventure.
The Sidewinder feature, initially available on RST trims, enables all four wheels to turn in the same direction, allowing the truck to move diagonally at low speeds. This feature, which you can select on the infotainment screen, offers a new way to navigate challenging terrain.
When equipped with an extended-range battery pack, the Trail Boss boasts a maximum towing capacity of 12,500 pounds and a payload capacity of 2,100 pounds. When equipped with the Max Range battery pack, it delivers up to 725 horsepower and 775 lb-ft of torque.
Boss Exterior and Safety
The Silverado EV Trail Boss's exterior is bold and aggressive, featuring a host of exclusive elements, including a high-angle approach front fascia, rugged 35-inch all-terrain tires on unique 18-inch wheels, distinctive exterior badging, a unique interior, and red front tow hooks. You can easily customize your pickup with readily accessible auxiliary switches for adding accessory lights and more.
Choose from nine exterior colors, including three new choices: White Sands, Polar White Tricoat, and Magnus Gray Matte Metallic.
When it comes to safety, Chevy has made enhancements to Super Cruise 6, including Google Maps integration for lane-precise navigation on compatible roads. New hands-on functionality keeps your truck centered and adapts to the speed of surrounding traffic, allowing your hands to stay on the wheel. When a Super Cruise-enabled road is detected, the steering wheel lightbar turns green, and hands-free driving is engaged. Additionally, Adaptive Cruise Control has been upgraded to allow you to adjust your speed to match posted limits automatically. Super Cruise with towing capability is available on LT and Trail Boss trims.
