2026 Chevy Colorado Updates
No dramatic changes to see here. The 2026 Chevy Colorado is still the same pickup truck you know and love, but there are a couple of changes we wanted to highlight for the new model year.
The five trim levels still share most of the same colors as their 2025 counterpart, but there's one change for the Trail Boss and ZR2 trim levels: Harvest Bronze Metallic, an option for the 2025 Trail Boss and ZR2, has been switched out for White Sands, an option for the 2026 Trail Boss and ZR2.
In addition, although most of the wheel options are the same, you'll find a change in the Z71 option list. For the 2026 model year, you'll now have the option of 20-inch painted aluminum wheels with machine face and Grazen painted pockets on the Z71. The 20-inch High Gloss Black aluminum wheels, which were an option for the 2025 Z71, are no longer available for this trim.
2026 Chevy Colorado Trim Highlights
Like the previous model year, the 2026 Chevy Colorado lineup offers five trim levels to choose from: the WT, LT, Trail Boss, Z71, and ZR2. Let's take a look at what each of these rugged trim levels has to offer!
2026 Colorado WT
When hard work calls, the WT answers. This base trim level is equipped with all of the essentials for a successful day on the job. Featuring 17-inch Ultra Silver Metallic wheels with all-season tires, a safety package with Rear Cross Traffic Braking, Blind Zone Steering Assist, Rear Park Assist, and a 11-inch diagonal digital Driver Information Center, the WT is ready to help you check off that to-do list.
Other highlights include an 11.3-inch diagonal center touchscreen with Google built-in and Apple CarPlay® and Android AutoTM compatibility for a connected and convenient drive. You'll appreciate the helpful CornerStep rear bumper, and if you want to add extra features like available black off-road assist steps, the EZ-Lift and Lower tailgate, cargo tie-down rings, cargo box LED lighting, and others for more convenience, you can.
2026 Colorado LT
This next trim level steps things up with a standard EZ Lift and Lower tailgate with built-in StowFlex storage and extra comfort features such as heated driver and front passenger seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, and standard remote start, which lets you warm up or cool down your truck before you get in. You can also add an available heated steering wheel for extra comfort during South Carolina winters.
The LT is equipped with 17-inch Argent Metallic wheels with all-season tires, and you'll have the option of upgrading to available Jet Black Evotex seat trim. Other available features you can add include wireless phone charging, LED fog lamps, HD Surround Vision, and a 120-volt bed-mounted power outlet for more convenience on the go.
2026 Colorado Trail Boss
The Trail Boss makes off-roading look easy. Featuring 18-inch wheels with 32-inch all-terrain tires (with the option of upgrading to available 20-inch wheels), a 2-inch factory-installed lift, and wheel flares, the Trail Boss looks the part of an off-roading professional. This trim also comes with four selectable drive modes, an off-road performance display, and a two-speed auto transfer case and transfer case shield.
Available features that you can't get on the previous two trim levels include lots of lighting upgrades like:
- Auxiliary off-road lights
- 30-inch off-road front grille light bar
- 40-inch off-road roof light bar
- Off-road bumper pod lights
Other optional features you can add include a rocker protector, re-configurable bed rails, removable off-road assist steps, and flexible off-road splash guards. Add some extra flair with the available Bronze Accent Package, which includes a bronze bodyside decal, a bronze hood decal, bronze nameplates, tech bronze recovery hooks, and door sill plates.
2026 Colorado Z71
Built to thrive in the wild, the Z71 is ready to show off its off-roading skills. This trim features 18-inch wheels with 32-inch all-terrain tires (with the option of upgrading to available 20-inch wheels), an available Jet Black interior with Adrenaline Red accents, and LED headlamps, taillamps and fog lamps. An underbody camera is an available option, giving you a view of the ground beneath your truck as you explore the great outdoors.
Heated driver and front passenger seats come standard, and if you want to elevate the interior even more, you can opt for the available Z71 Convenience Package III, which includes leather-appointed seating, a driver seat back pocket, a rear center arm rest, driver memory settings, ventilated front seats, and a heated steering wheel - ensuring ultimate comfort no matter how unfriendly road conditions get.
2026 Colorado ZR2
Topping the lineup, the ZR2 dominates with 17-inch Graphite and Oxide Gold aluminum wheels
with 33-inch MT tires, a 3-inch factory-installed lift with a high-performance suspension, Multimatic® DSSV dampers, five selectable drive modes, and an off-road performance display.
Other noteworthy features include a standard spray-on bedliner, an available power sunroof, standard wheel flares, and available flexible off-road splash guards. Ventilated driver and front passenger seats come standard, helping to keep you cool on those hot days, and you can upgrade from the standard six-speaker audio system to the available Bose Premium Sound System or the available Audio System by Kicker. A TurboMaxTM hood emblem finishes off the ZR2's imposing looks.
2026 Chevy Colorado Performance
Each 2026 Chevy Colorado model is powered by the same engine: a 2.7-liter TurboMax® engine that serves up 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque and is matched with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The WT and LT trims give you the option of RWD or 4WD, while all other trims come with 4WD.
The Chevy Colorado is prepared to work hard. With the available Advanced Trailering Package, your Colorado can tow up to 7,700 pounds,* which comes in handy when you need to tow heavy equipment or adventure gear.
With up to five available drive modes to choose from, depending on the trim level, it's easy to tailor performance to fit the current driving conditions. These modes include:
- Off-Road: This mode can be used for driving on loose surfaces, such as grass, mud, gravel, or deep snow, providing enhanced traction.
